An Original Early 20th Century Art Deco Lighthouse Table lamp. An early lamp circa 1930’s. The lamp has a moulded bronze base in the form of a rock, the base is well detailed. The column of the lamp is made from heavy cast allot and is moulded and shaped like a lighthouse. The finish of the lamp is original, the base is lightly polished with some verdigris and the alloy has an original silver applied finish. The lamp has been cleaned and given a light coat of wax to protect its finish. The lamp is heavy and stable. Please see my images for the best description. The wiring is modern and earthed and the lamp has a modern earthed brass switched safer bulb holder that takes one BC bulb. The lamp is fitted with a modern cable stay and cable protection. The lamp has been rebuilt to modern standards. Overall height is 42 Cm – The irregular shaped base is 19 Cm x 17 Cm Condition is Antique, used and aged… Some small tarnish markings to the Bronze & alloy with some small manufacturing marks. The lamp has good modern earthed wiring and works well, cable stay and protection fitted under the base. The lamp has a modern Brass earthed switched bulb holder fitted that takes one large bayonet BC bulb. Various surface marks and small signs of life and age to the brass and a few small dinks from age and use, some small chips to the balustrades at the top. Please see my images for details.
