Antique Ojime Gold Jujube Fruit Bead Meiji Japan Netsuke Inro Mixed Metals. These beads are magnificent in their artistry. Their attention to detail is simply wonderful. This bead depicts a Gold and Silver Jujube Fruit with its Silver branches. The base material may be Shibuichi, which is an alloy of copper and silver, with a patina. There is an indentation on one side of the bead. The bead is a mixed metal, with an insert to prevent cords from fraying, the insert on the bottom is slightly raised and can be felt. The bead has not. Nor has the metal on bead been tested. Did not want to alter the beadin any way. Any reference to a specific metal is due to a visual inspection. And known metals used.
